This policy covers figureeighthq.com and the Figure Eight waitlist. It will be updated before the Figure Eight product itself opens.
Who we are
Figure Eight is made by Diaspar, which is the data controller for the information described here.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you join the waitlist, and the date and time you joined.
- A spam check. The waitlist form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a bot, is filling it in. Turnstile looks at signals from your browser to do this. Cloudflare's own Turnstile privacy addendum explains what it processes.
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't sell or share your email with anyone for marketing.
Why we use it
We use your email address only to tell you when Figure Eight opens and to send you closely related updates about it. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by joining the waitlist. You can withdraw it at any time.
Where it is kept
The site and the waitlist run on Cloudflare, which acts as our processor. The waitlist database is set to be stored in Western Europe. Cloudflare may process data in other countries under the safeguards in its data processing terms.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until you ask us to remove it, or for 12 months after Figure Eight opens to the public, whichever comes first.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. A contact address for these requests will be added here soon; we'll reply within one month of receiving one. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
